Supervisor, Accounting

The Accounting Supervisor performs tactical and regularly occurring accounting activities that the agency requires for superior financial business management. Develop, enhance, implement, and enforce policies and procedures in order to improve overall effectiveness of financial practices. Highlight key issues and provide resolutions for negative exposure items that could impact profitability in an effort to improve process in support of business needs. Be directly involved in providing strategic financial input on accounting/financial issues affecting the agency. Collaborate with other members of the organization to achieve business and financial objectives. Prepare financial data for publication to various constituents throughout the agency who rely on or benefit from the information to make informed business decisions.


  • Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations for review with Controller
  • Prepare balance sheet variance commentary on a monthly basis
  • Prepare daily bank entries
  • Assist with preparation of weekly cash flow forecast


  • Manage the entire payroll process in ADP
  • Manage 401K administration
  • Prepare payroll & benefits related journal entries

Accounts Payable:

  • Review and approve all vendor bills (operating)
  • Review and approve purchase orders (operating)


  • Assist with implementation of financial processes, tools, and control protocols
  • Serve as backup corporate card program administrator
  • Provide support to Accounting Department in AP/AR, Hours/Cost analysis, training, and backup
  • Assist with audit engagements
  • Assist with Local, State, Federal, and Foreign tax filings and payments
  • Participate in ad hoc special projects as required, and other tasks as assigned


  • Establish sound and effective working relationships internally with rEvolution team members and externally with client and vendor points-of-contact
  • Resolve conflicts or roadblocks that would interfere with completing assigned projects
  • Work on a team and as a team to accomplish agency goals


  • Accounting, Finance, or Related Degree
  • 5+ years of experience
  • Global experience is desired
  • Agency or Professional Services experience preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of financial reporting systems, NetSuite & Nexonia
  • Incredible attention to detail
  • Outstanding organization skills
  • Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment
