rEvolution, the global integrated sports marketing agency, is pleased to announce the hiring of Steve McNelley as its new Senior Vice President of Consulting. McNelley will play an integral part in fully realizing rEvolution’s vision to be a leader in global sports marketing as the agency builds out and expands its strategic consulting practice.

A seasoned sports marketing veteran, McNelley brings to rEvolution a deep knowledge and understanding of the sports industry, including expertise across brand marketing and advertising, sponsorship strategy and consulting, as well as technology integration. He will provide the necessary leadership and vision to take rEvolution’s strategic consulting practice to the next level.

“From afar, I have admired and respected rEvolution’s success and growth in the sports marketing industry, especially as an independent shop,” said McNelley. “I look forward to using my depth of experience to help the team build on its consulting practice’s already impressive position in the global marketplace.”

Prior to rEvolution, McNelley spent seven years at Optimum Sports where he partnered with global clients, such as Apple, State Farm, McDonald’s and Boston Beer Company, to develop their sponsorship strategies across a spectrum of professional and collegiate leagues. His resume also includes time at Learfield Sports and the Chicago Blackhawks.

McNelley holds his bachelor’s degree in Sports Management from Wittenberg University. He works out of rEvolution’s global headquarters in Chicago and reports directly to Matt Boyer, rEvolution’s Managing Director of Integrated Client Services.
