Esports marketing and talent management agency REV/XP manages many of the individuals that make up this COD powerhouse, including Captain Seth “Scump” Abner, Ian “Crimsix” Porter and Damon “Karma” Barlow. After leading OpTic Gaming to a World Championship title two years ago, Scump and OpTic struggled throughout the 2018 season with new teammates and maps/plays that were not well-received from pros and fans alike. Following the release of Black Ops 4 on October 10, “The King” found his stride, jumping from 3K to 30K Twitch subscribers and landing himself within the Top 5 most popular streamers of the game. Scump’s surge in popularity and confidence, in addition to Karma’s return and other team additions, set the stage for the weekend’s victory and the beginning of a new era for OpTic Gaming.
