SAS + British Rowing
In 2016, SAS, the leader in analytics, partnered British Rowing with the goal of making the team’s boats go faster in order to win as many gold medals as possible at major rowing championships, including the Olympic Games. rEvolution was brought on board by SAS in 2017 to promote this strategic partnership, which it did through a series of bespoke feature PR events and digital campaigns, as a way of illustrating just how powerful a partnership between a global brand and a rights holder can be.

Since rEvolution started working with SAS, the team has worked on a series of exciting and interactive digital events, designing and implementing all of the creative that goes into such endeavours. From podcasts and webinars to digital advertisements and infographics – we’ve done it all, with some stunning results.
As seasoned PR pros, we ‘ve worked wonders for SAS by generating significant press coverage in the UK and globally. We’ve regularly attracted the biggest and best print, online and broadcast media outlets to the events that we’ve organised. From exclusive media training camps in Spain and Portugal, to launch events at SAS’ central London offices, as well as leveraging relationships to create insightful content, such as Moe Sbihi MBE’s continued column with the Daily Telegraph.
The rEvolution team has created and managed a series of stunning and diverse events, designed to bring SAS’ partnership with British Rowing to life, and to ultimately publicise SAS as a leader in analytics. rEvolution was entirely responsible for the launch of the SAS Ranking Points Index at 199 Bishopsgate in London, as well as the purely digital Sport & Business Leadership Webinar that exceeded all of SAS’ KPIs.
Social media has been a core component of our account with SAS, and has become even more vital during 2020 and into 2021, as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. rEvolution’s digital team has been working as an extension of the SAS team to create content that resonates with SAS’ audience in a fresh, engaging and evocative way. And SAS’ audience certainly likes what we’re creating and posting, with its Instagram account growing by 158% in 2020.
When the COVID-19 pandemic hit, rEvolution had to quickly and strategically alter its strategy with SAS. One particular change was to pivot from holding a live in-person coaching roundtable event, to hosting a purely virtual Sport & Business Leadership Webinar featuring a panel of elite sports coaches and SAS’ very own EMEA Vice President. The event was a huge success, generating over 18,000 unique video views – the full webinar can be viewed here.
