The Telly Awards
The Telly Awards annually highlights outstanding achievements in television and video production across various platforms. With participation from all fifty states and five continents, the awards attract more than 12,000 entries each year. Winners of the Telly Awards are esteemed professionals from advertising agencies, television stations, production companies, and publishers worldwide. These awards acknowledge exceptional work done on behalf of clients, specific brands, or companies, as well as self-directed creative endeavors. In 2022, rEvolution submitted entries for four categories, highlighting their top-performing campaigns, and they emerged victorious in all four! Read below on our award-winning campaigns:
Chipotle Garlic Guajillo Steak Ad – Regional TV Bronze Winner
rEvolution has consistently aimed to advance Chipotle’s standing within the gaming community and establish the brand as one that truly “gets it.” Through every partnership, product introduction, and social media update, rEvolution’s primary objective is to generate buzz and further ingrain the brand in gaming conversation and culture.
When Chipotle introduced their new protein, “Garlic Guajillo Steak,” in September 2022, rEvolution identified TimTheTatman, a popular gaming creator and internet personality, as an ideal partner for Chipotle. Tim has been a longstanding partner of the brand, and Chipotle sought to elevate the relationship with him and his community by involving Tim’s close friend, Cloakzy – another top creator and Chipotle super fan – in the campaign. This was a seamless choice as Tim and Cloakzy share a community and already collaborate on numerous content projects together!
The script for the Garlic Guajillo Steak ad was a perfect fit for Tim and Cloakzy, organically portraying how they naturally engage with one another, and incorporating their distinct personalities, humorous banter, and genuine relationship. Throughout the ad, they effortlessly complemented each other, staying true to themselves and the personalities their communities know and love. The outcome of the campaign surpassed expectations, going beyond a mere advertisement. It became a celebrated moment within the gaming community, deepening Chipotle’s integration into gaming culture and driving conversation around Garlic Guajillo Steak amongst top-tier gaming talent and their audiences.
Continental Tire Commercial – People’s Telly & Regional TV Bronze Winner
With the help of rEvolution, Continental Tire has leveraged their platform to boost both awareness and sales among the soccer audience, which is a great expression of their longstanding presence in the sport. Our objective was to design a Continental Tire campaign focused on their new brand direction, #SmartChoiceInTires, to reposition the brand as the obvious option for a discerning customer looking for a tire product, one they can be completely confident in.
To maximize on the buzz surrounding the 2021 MLS playoffs, rEvolution and Continental partnered with one of the top goalkeepers in the league, Sean Johnson. In this advertisement, Sean Johnson discusses the importance of maintaining a steady mindset while recreating the lead-up to a critical save he made during the 2021 MLS Cup. The scenario depicted in the commercial, which highlights Sean’s need for “Smart Choices” while defending the goal in a soccer game, directly connects with Continental’s #SmartChoiceInTires campaign.
Ensuring positive fan sentiment was of utmost importance during this project, as we aimed to draw the viewers’ attention to the brand’s standout moment. By tapping into Continental’s insights and objectives, this campaign achieved its desired impact on a widespread audience. The viewers of the 2022 MLS season playoffs and the MLS cup bore witness to a remarkable, award winning, broadcast spot, thanks to the successful collaboration of rEvolution and Continental.
rEvolution takes immense pride in the recognition received for their campaign with Continental Tire and Sean Johnson. Not only did it win a Telly Award, but it also secured a People’s Telly award. General Tires Delivers – Regional TV Silver Winner
In 2022 we partnered with General Tire to introduce the “General Tires Delivers” campaign. Our goal was straightforward – to flawlessly showcase our esteemed General Tire Ambassadors while strategically captivating our audience. The essence of this campaign lies in a simple yet powerful message – General Tire can get you where you want to go. To ensure authenticity, we meticulously crafted each ambassador’s commercial, allowing their genuine selves to shine through. Our aim was to not only convey the campaign’s essence but also create an engaging narrative that unveils the personal side of our ambassadors. Embracing humor as a pivotal element, we’ve taken this opportunity to depict General Tire as an inclusive brand, dedicated to fulfilling the aspirations of every individual.
To reveal the genuine personalities of Hallie Deegan, Skeet Reese, and all our anglers, we aimed to incorporate glimpses of their lives beyond their professions. One example was capturing Hallie in a tranquil setting, tending to her greenhouse, which provided a delightful viewing experience for the audience and contrast from the racetrack. When developing the script, setting, pace, and primary message for the advertisement, rEvolution ensured constant communication with the athletes, incorporating their ideas to make the script feel authentic to them. Our ambassadors share a deep passion for the General Tire brand and emphasized the importance of creating a sincere and enjoyable ad.
These campaigns have achieved tremendous success and garnered widespread acclaim. Specifically, the “Making a Splash” and “Kale Salad Day” Spots have received overwhelmingly positive feedback from Major League Fishing (MLF) fans. Our featured anglers have consistently expressed that these spots are their favorite GT advertisements to date, and our team has also received similar feedback during our presence at MLF events. Both MLF spots are prominently featured in all broadcasts and included in livestreams, ensuring substantial viewership and engagement. Furthermore, the spot featuring Hallie Deegan airs during ARCA broadcasts and integrated into live rotations at the track, maximizing its visibility and impact.
