rEvolution, the integrated global sports marketing and media agency, continues to establish its position as a global industry leader by hiring Chris Sonntag as Managing Director, Head of Global Sponsorship Consulting.

Relocating from San Francisco to join rEvolution’s Chicago headquarters, Sonntag will be charged with leading and expanding rEvolution’s global sports consulting presence for brands and rights holders alike. He will report to CEO and Founder John Rowady and collaborate with Darren Marshall, EVP, Consulting and Research. Furthermore, Sonntag will be influential in working with rEvolution’s subsidiary agency network RGE and rEvXP.

In his 12+ years in international sports marketing, Sonntag has acquired a deep knowledge of the business through the lens of rights holders, brands, agencies and talent, which has resulted in a sizable network across the globe. Prior to rEvolution, Sonntag served as Vice President, Global Partnerships Strategy and Activation at WME IMG in San Francisco. He held various marketing roles at the Zurich headquarters of FIFA, the world’s governing body of soccer. Over his career, Sonntag has worked on sporting platforms and events across 40+ countries. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Sports Marketing and Administration from the University of Bayreuth, Germany.
