Inside Sales Manager

Reporting into the Chief Revenue Officer, the Manager–Inside Sales performs a critical function within the rEvolution sales team. He or she will be responsible for generating leads which “fill the top of the sales funnel” and setting vital Discovery Meetings with prospective new clients. Their success will in turn help determine the success of the rest of the sales team in using these leads and meetings to close sales. The Manager will also be responsible for building out the contact database and staying current on industry trends and new sponsorship deals.


Generate Leads:

  • Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls and emails
  • Research accounts, identify key players and generate interest
  • Present our capabilities in a concise manner via e-mails and over the phone
  • Follow-up with any contacts who have gone ‘dark’, including
    • lost pitches
    • inactive clients (post 12 months)
  • Follow-ups from events

Set Discovery Meetings:

  • Qualify contacts prior to setting discovery meetings
  • Set discovery meetings for our sales executives
    • Using internal cold prospect lists
    • Using warm prospect ad contact lists provides by the sales executives (e.g. known attendees at an event; known prospects in an upcoming travel area, etc.)
  • Maintain and Grow our Prospect Database and Keep our Sales Systems Current:
    • Source ideas for resources we can use to spur inbound contact and interest
    • Stay on top of industry trends
    • Keep SalesForce (SFDC) and Pardot (our Marketing Automation system) up-to-date, including:


  • 2+ years inside sales experience; marketing or agency required:
    • Sports, lifestyle, and/or fandom marketing a big plus
    • Selling into CPG, Pharma, Telecom, Automotive, Spirits also a plus
  • Track record of achieving quotas for setting appointments
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
  • Excellent MSOffice skills, especially Outlook and Word
  • Experience working with or similar CRM
  • Experience with Pardot or similar Marketing Automation tool
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively; a true self-starter who can work independently
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent
  • 5% Business travel
  • Position located in Chicago HQ
